Dump Babes, led by singer/songwriter Aurora Wolfe, is an experimental pop/rock band from Saskatoon Sk. Aurora has been writing folk music for most of her life, which heavily influenced Dump Babes’ first self-made EP. Their unique sound has evolved from there, dubbed “Trash pop” by fans. Their recent music draws as much inspiration from ABBA as it does from Aurora’s obsession with garbage, and their live performances are equal parts chaotic and soothing.

Aurora’s song writing has always centered around themes of colonialism, Indigenous displacement, and identity. With Dump Babes’ upcoming studio album Niýa Kîminîcâkan, Aurora further explores these concepts through a contemporary lens that rejects commodified stereotypes of Indigeneity, and embraces her status as a full-time dirtbag.
